Awesomesauce! I've actually thought about building a 4wd 309 myself someday but I never knew this existed.
My love towards 309 probably originates from the 1.6l 5-door version my mom used to own when I was little. One funny thing about that car was that it seemed like every taxi driver wanted to race my mom at stoplights

Yeah those had a "light" 4WD transmission that never sent more than 35% of the power to the rear, but since the 205 it was mounted on had the 160hp 1.9 liter, this was quite useful.
IIRC correctly this made the car rather quick, and only added something like 100lbs to the total weight.
